How to Become An Uber Eats Delivery-Partner
Deliver food from your city’s favourite restaurants to hungry consumers using your car, motorbike, scooter or bicycle.

Passport or driver’s licence
The passport or driver’s licence must clearly show:
- Legal given names (first name and any middle names)
- Date of birth
1. Front of driver’s licence
You’ll need to hold a valid open New Zealand driver’s licence. The licence must clearly show:
- Your photo
- Your name
- Your address
- The licence expiry date
2. Back of driver’s licence
The back of your driver’s licence must clearly show:
- Issue date
- Expiry date
- Date of birth
- Update to address sticker (if applicable)
- The class as open (only full class 6 licences are accepted if delivering only by motorbike)
The provided insurance certificate of currency must clearly show:
- Your name as the policyholder or insured driver
- Your vehicle details (registration, make, model and year)
- A valid expiry date
You should speak to an insurance advisor to determine the best coverage for you including whether you’ll need commercial third party insurance.
4. Right to Work document
You’ll need to hold a valid right to work document. This can be one of the following:
- New Zealand Passport
- New Zealand Birth Certificate
- Australia Passport
- Work Visa

A copy of a few personal documents, including your driver’s licence. Requirements vary by city. You will also need to lodge a background check.

Once you have provided all the required documents and passed a background check your account should be active in 5 business days.
